I remember watching the 90’s IT tv miniseries as a kid. I don’t remember much about it to be honest, besides Tim Curry’s iconic performance as Pennywise. Even though that show doesn’t really hold up anymore, I think Tim Curry’s performance will always live on. As far as the score by Richard Bellis goes, I think it matches with the wackiness of the series quite well. I love the mix of orchestral instrumentation and synthesizers. It’s very “90’s” if you know what I mean, with its melodies and instrument choices. There was no way I couldn’t pick this release up though, it’s another great one by Waxwork Records. A triple gate fold, 3xLP with three “balloon colored” records and some truly insane art by Matt Ryan Tobin. I’m curious to know what everyone prefers….Tim Curry, or the 2017 version of Pennywise played by Bill Skarsgård? Let me know.
