DON RENDELL-IAN CARR QUINTET Dusk Fire. A record of extreme magnificence… the original 1966 UK 7-track MONO vinyl LP on the blue & black Columbia label in the Lansdowne Series, starring Ian Carr [Trumpet, Flugelhorn], Don Rendell [Tenor Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet], Michael Garrick [Piano], Dave Green [Bass] & Trevor Tomkins [Drums]. This was arguably the greatest British-Jazz album ever made, & the closest we got to replicating the magic of Miles Davis-John Coltrane-Bill Evans on Kind Of Blue. Bold statement indeed, but have you heard this? Never before stocked & highly recommended, housed in the original front laminated flipback sleeve.

DON RENDELL QUINTET Space Walk. Archive Quality 1972 UK 7-track stereo LP in the Lansdowne Series, the first & only vinyl pressing of this stunning British Jazz rarity led by the late Don Rendell, also starring Stan Robinson [Tenor Saxophone,Clarinet, Flute], Peter Shade [Vibraphone, Flute], Jack Thorncroft [Bass] & Trevor Tomkins [Drums], front laminated flipback picture sleeve complete with the red tinted catalogue inner. Both the sleeve & vinyl are a remarkable Near Mint. The panels are super clean & off white, the laminate is nice & tight with merely the very lightest spot of ring wear starting to emerge & there is no writing or any concerns. The vinyl appears barely touched with no spindle marks by the centre hole. On very close inspection, there is just one or two ever so faint spots of paper wear, barely detectable, which have no effect on play. A highly recommended archive copy.
